Susan Johnson, President of Futura Industries was awarded the 2007 “Utah Manufacturers Association Business Executive of the Year.”
In 1969, the Utah Manufacturers Association Board of Directors established an annual commendation to honor business executives for their outstanding contribution to the economy of Utah, by furnishing employment, leadership in the community, and fidelity to the free enterprise system.

Utah Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) selected Futura Industries as 2006 Manufacturer of the Year. Futura Industries was selected due to their robust systems and processes in the areas of Employee Involvement & Satisfaction, Manufacturing Execution, Cost and Profitability Controls, and Customer Satisfaction. Execution in these areas had led Futura Industries to realize significantly superior returns on capital employed than their peers in North America. Their excellent performance contributes to the viability of Utah's manufacturing base.
